I just purchased a 96 LT1 Vette and while dring down the road I notice white smoke coming from the front under the passengers foot area. It looks as if the A/C condenser is not draining properly and is overflowing on to numerous things incliuding the exhaust. Not such a big deal. Is there an easy way to clear this? Is there an air filter for the A/C that might be clogged and causing this?
Also it seems that the engine runs hot when idiling and a little over 200 when moving a long at a good clip is this normal? Seems like the fan is not coming on early enough ?
Other than that the car is running fine. Any help would be greatlly appreciated.
The temps are ok infact cool compared to some posted around here.My car leaves a good size puddle in this humidity.I am sure there is a hose somwhere down there it must have moved do a little searching and you will find it.

You might want to check a few things
200 degrees while running along at a good clip, is in MHO a little high. These things(C4's) are notorious vacuum cleaners, sucking up all kinds of trash which mysteriously ends up between the AC condensor and the radiator, blocking air flow to the radiator. I would suggest pulling the upper shroud on the radiator and looking for trash between it and the AC Condensor. I suspect you will find a few handfulls, especially if the previous owner never did it!
About the other water! As long as it doesn't smell like antifreeze, probably the overflow hose in the wrong place
Your temps are good. Other than religiously flushing and changing your coolant at the recommended intervals, the next step is to pull off the upper radiator shroud, and clean the debris from between the radiator and the condenser.

RACE ON!!!
which in my experience so far is a major PITA - i still haven't quite figured out how to get it off yet - by the time i do, it will be winter again!
I wish I could offer some help. I understand it's an ordeal on the later C4s. It's a 10 minute job on my '84, if you have enough beer to stretch out the project.
I also have a 1996 and your temps are a little high. On the passenger side of your radiator, there is a 2" hole to look with a flashlight between your radiator and A/A condensor. Take a look and see if there is debris in there. If so take a shop vac with a 2 foot extension (extension made of a 1 1/2 inch PCV pipe) and vacuum out all the leaves, gravel, plastic bags, t-shirts etc.
