Remove headers back to stock?

I have a 94 LT-1 with hotcam and hooker longtube headers Cats eliminated and B&B Triflow 3 inch stainless steel exhausts. PCM was reprogrammed by Tom Wong by previous owner. Due to heat/header problems I am considering going back to a factory exhaust manifold... Will I be disappointed in the performance? Will I lose that much HP? Has anyone done this?

I have an L98, so my experience isn't with LT1 engines. Given that I understand that long tubes will give you 20-25 HP, so that would be what you'd lose.

I don't think you will be happy with the performance results. Explain what wrong with your headers

I think you will be much happier getting those LTs ceramic coated, replacing the burnt boots and maybe going to shorter plugs where clearence is an issue.
