Default Man, If I turned my headers around

my small block would plop right into this missle.(Bald-guided missle) and at 27k for the roller (free shipping) I might have to put a stock lt1 back in the vette in a year or two.

Yep it's the ultima GTR They have a new open top spyder called the can am. IM deeply in love. Head over heels, walk into walls, not paying attention, in love. It's like 80k to buy a completed finished roller minus motor/trans. But if you build it yourself it can be had for half of that. I already have the bad to the bone dry sump sbc.
As soon as I wrap my mechanical/electrical engineering degree up here, the first thing I buy myself will be a kit.

Either that Or I gotta start playing the lotto more often. Or maybe I can find an investor with deep pockets who wants to start making them over here.

It's got it Tony! Look on the options page from the UK site.
Do I hear a 2006 group buy? we'll fill a whole cargo vessel with them!
We'll run 'em n corn alcohol and call our selfs ENVIRONMENTALISTS! haha yea thats the ticket! Be emissions exempt!
On a more serious note though, the Thing I find the most appealing is my (significant) investment is SBC/turbo/enginemangement is a plug in operation. I bet even tony can fit His monster tall deck BBC in there.

Think about it 1500hp/2000lbs even 1000hp/2000lbs? have you ever? my bikes weren't that power packed(even way back when I weighed 160lbs). hell I don't thing the shuttle has that good a power/weight ratio. Wow, excuse me people, I think I need a little alone time.

hey everyone. great to see intrest in these amazing kits! if you have any questions just contact the factory. they are very helpfull and will try and put you in the right direction.

as for big blocks...erm..well its really not worth it guys! i asked about it and the foctory said there would have to be some mayjor chassis work done, and then the body would look funny, and be a total B***H to get right! most of the guys over here find a 5-600bhp sbc scarry and they will easly out run supercars any day of the week! if you really want more then a procharger or a twin turbo set up could easly boost power to mind blowing levels....as brammo and spectrum racing did with thier twin tyrbo LS6 that made over 1300bhp on the dyno!!! problem is the chassis and the drive shafts are only rated at (come on you REALLY wont need any more) 1000bhp!

thanks Chris.

PS most of the guys over here go for A/C unless its an all out track car! oh yeah and you should see these things go around cornners! hehe

a factory five with a hot rodded new LS7 crate would do me.

maybe with a nice screw blower or turbo on it if I was feeling fiesty.

I've been slobbering over the mosler for years but now that they finally got it out there it's just too far out of the price range.

I really like the look of the factory five, are they shipping yet???

500 hp at 2k weight should make for a pretty nice ride.

maybe even an LT5 for grins!!! (a bit heavy I know)

BTF, where did you see that 27k number for an unassembled kit? How much more to finish it? The thing looks pretty easy to work on!!

and if you go down thru the list of "stages" there is a crap load of parts that you can source from jegs or build yourself for thousands less. And like I said since so many of us already have Big$$$ tied up in our sbc's it's only natural to pick a car that you can reuse it in. I think a real sharp ,frugal patient guy could do it fo 30K

I'm not totally in love with the styling, but it is damn cool. People look alot when your in a Viper, just think how many necks you would injure in this thing. Anyone want to split one? I keep it and you just basically give me some money. Sounds perfect to me..... Damn you BTF, I WAS happy with my vette!!! Lets see, if I sold both vettes and came up with 10k, I could bitch slap most anything on the road with this thing. The little lady said, do what ever makes you happy. This is getting serious.

with the 'boxs it depends. i got a quotye from someone over there in the US for a built box that could take over 700lbsft for over $11K! thats quite a bit more than the stock box, but cheaper and stronger than the 6 speed jobby used in 911s today!

also bill mcdonald was kind enough to give me this link to a mad looking Ultima GTR with a twin turbo'ed LS6!!!! deff worth a look. also there are a few guys on piston heads (link ealier in thread) that are building twin turbos.

here is the TT LS6 GTR http://www.perfectpowerusa.com/Ultima1.htm

Enjoy. Chris.

PS. BTF, any chance of some more pics of you turbo set up? looks very interesting, and as though it might work on the (normaly hard to turbo) Ultima!
