my 1984, when i drive it, sometimes the door locks will lock and unlock by itself randomly while driving. Anyone had this problem before? and if so, how did u solve it? thanks in advance. (*note. no more horn relay/radio problem )
I had this problem on a dodge intrepid that had an after markey security system. Does your 84 have the stock system or aftermarket? If aftermarket it is probably either an intermintant short or a bad box, My problem was the box.
I worked on a DeLorean once, that after you locked the door, the lock solenoid would keep locking and unlocking the door until it would overheat... maybe the solenoid is dying?
i have the stock alarm. maybe, i'll check it out some more, thanks for the inputs...however it only happens when im driving, not when the car is off...

Are your interior lights also flickering at the same time (going on/off quickly) and/or does the interior lights sometimes stay on or not go off as they should? If so, might be your door switches' electrical contacts being wet or about to die. They can also affect the alarm (on our 94 LT1 couple anyway).
On our 94, they can be replaced right through the switch hole without having to take the door apart. But watch our when you buy new ones, we went through 3-4 sets before we found ones that work most of the time (sticking or poor assembly -- GM's vendor sucks).
Need more input on this one... I was just about to create a thread exactly like this. Ever since I got an Autopage alarm system installed, the doors keep on locking and unlocking when I flip the turning signals. The hazards don't do this but the turn signals do... WTF?!?! It is getting very annoying.

Just a note of caution.
I was parked at the Port Jefferson Ferry terminal along with our local club. When the Ferry arrived everyone went to their cars. Mine would not unlock (I had the only C4) I started to panic, thinking I would be left behind on the dock. After several minutes of trying I just put the key in the ignition and tried to start it with me still outside. (convertible). The alarm (horn) went off. Finally after trying some more, I was able to shut it off and unlock the car. I was told that the ship's radar was probably interfering with the signal from the key fob.????
