Well...SORT OF...the way I explain it, is, Nitrous is like racing your car, in a mineshaft with REALLY cold air...but you're right, forced induction is just ADDING more air via a pump..while nitrous is adding more air via more dense molecules.

I'd rather fuel get to the motor before nitrous, so it spikes rich instead of spiking lean.
I've tested time and again the fuel pressure, the entire fuel system is in 100% working order.
A FPSS should be considered Mandatory for Nitrous use. It's just as simple as that. You may have checked your fuel pressure, but if you view enuff dyno graphs, you will see your car will not run A/F ratios the same everytime over time. And it only takes the car leaning out once with the spray on. There are so many possibilities to consider, a failing fuel pump, clogged filter, injector failure, etc... Also, you should consider putting your car on a dyno to see what is happening while it's being sprayed.

As for the bottle mount, it was just mounted to the cargo area. No blow-down tube, but it did have a burst disc.
I'm not going to repeat everything these guys have said, but I can tell you this. Running lean one time is enuff, bottle pressure is key to proper nitrous injection, hence a heater. It takes alot more than a base kit to run a engine friendly nitrous system. You should really consider the advice given. Not trying to be an a$$ here either, but not only could you loose a motor, but a large enuff mistake can start a fire.

Don't shrug this off as peps putting the install down or anything, they are trying to give you proven advice. We would rather see you take a step back and say "Hmmm, okay maybe I should put this on." rather then a future post of "Hmmm, engine let go, Why?"

However you go, good luck and be safe.

Right..what I meant by keeping it on the button is better for me, is because then, I won't have to go part throttle EVER, I can let off the nitrous, which will let me get traction and then hit the switch again, staying WOT the entire time...
No rev limiter ???!!!!!! All I can say is yikes! Having no rev limiter is like having a hole in the tip of your condom IMHO... I've hit my rev limiter a few times in my days while ripping through the RPMs because I'm too busy paying attention to what the rest of the car is doing, watching the road/track, and the guy next to me. Was there ever a rev limiter in the car or did it actually not come with one? Your braver than I am I'll tell you that.

As for keeping the button, I'm guessing you have an automatic. If you don't, then I can't see how you can go WOT all the way on a launch without breaking loose, hell it would still be hard even if you do have an auto.

In the end, it's totally up to you, I've passed my recommendations, so no more for me.

L98's didn't have a rev limiter..the TPI intake is the limiter, it just literally CHOKES at 5000rpm.
Have you checked into the year 2005 lately?...such a thing called Drag Radials (or slicks, since it looks like you have the LT5 power)..try them
IIRC, Rat Racer used to be on the forum, with a 90 ZR1 on the jug, running in the 10's.

This is your car on NITROUS!

In reality the NX Nitrous solenoid was leaking into the plenium .
All the safety devices were installed and see what good it did!
