Default Help...Replacing just the Antenna Mast...94

I've searched and read many posts that explain how to replace the antenna motor. My motor works fine. I just need instructions on how to replace the antenna mast (which got bent at the car wash). Any help would be much appreciated.

If you buy a new mast, it should include a tool that will remove the retaining nut that keeps the old mast from coming out. Once the nut is removed the mast can be removed by turning on the radio and pulling the mast as the motor pushes it up. Installing the new mast is basically a reverse of this procedure but it is a bit easier with 2 people. I replaced my mast in about 10 minutes and the new one (bought from a vendor on Ebay) works great. More complete instructions can be found either with a new mast or a service manual.

Get a helper. Makes threading the mast down the hole a lot easier.
