EM headers which felpro gasket?
I have a set of EM headers for a 92 lt1. Which felpro gasket are you using? I believe most are using the 1406 am I right?

The 1406's lasted about a year with my EM headers. Now, I'm running Percy's aluminum.

That's what I've got on mine...what happened after the first year, i.e. what clued you in that they had "gone south"? Just curious...

I started hearing an exhaust leak, pulled the header gasket, and it was burnt/blown.

I plan on using the good old fashioned copper gaskets.

Good luck. I tried tried the coppers, and couldn't get any where near a decent seal.

I currently have the copper gaskets in with my Hooker Shorties that I installed 4 years ago. Great seal. I think the secret is the use of allen socket head header bolts that you can torque to the exact spec. They worked for me in the past and when the long tubes go on, I'll try them again. These aluminum gaskets look interesting.
