A/C compressor not working???

my a/c stop working..i check pressure on system is ok,relay on the fuse box ok , if i use a jump cable to the compressor ,it runs and blows cold, any idea whos not tellin the compressor to run????? is there a way to scan the air cond. system?? 92 Auto. thanks!!

I'm not an expert at all, but my compressor wouldn't kick on, it turned out to be the pressure switch, about a $15 part.

I was just about to say, make sure there's a good connection at the low pressure switch.
