Default door lock problem

The door locks on my 92 coupe seemed be messed up and I can't figure out where the problem might be. The passenger switch has never worked since I got it two years ago and the drivers switch stopped working a year ago. The remote switch with my alarm still operated both the driver and passenger locks so I was ok. I ordered two new switches and changed them today. They still did not work. So I checked the fuses and the auxillary door lock fuse under the dash was burnt so I replaced it. The passenger switch still does nothing and the drivers switch only unlocks both doors but will not lock the doors. Also when I try to lock the doors with the remote it only makes noise from the locks and will not actually lock the doors. The remote still unlocks the doors. As well the doors would lock when I turned the car on and unlock when I turned it off. It does not do that anymore. So I'm left with a remote that unlocks both doors and a drivers swtich that only unlocks the doors. I have no way of locking the doors except with the key(although this option makes things complicated with the factory and aftermarket alarms and is a real pain) Anyone out there who can explain to me what might be going on and offer advice? Thanks.

When you installed the switches did you check for corrosion on the socket contacts?

Since the two switches are connected together, the problem could be in either switch or in the connecting wires.

Do you have a GM Shop Manual for your Vette? You will need a schematic of the lock wiring to wring it out.

There did not appear to be any corrosion in the socket contacts.

If the problem is in either switch or the connecting wires, I am still confused why the unlock and not the lock function still works in one switch only?

It's a little complex how the switches are interconnected and to the motors. If I hadn't dropped my digi-camper a copla days ago I would take a pic from my Shop Manual, but now that would have to wait till I have the camera serviced.
