Im going with a higher stall and having a trans cooler installed. Guy installing it asked it I want it to come from the trans to the cooler only and bypass radiator. Or both. What is the best way? Im going to a 3k stall. The cooler is a 20,000 GVW.

Opinions vary.
Because it never gets really cold here and car sees a lot of track time with 2200 converter I run cooler only.
Some say to run to cooler first to dump excess heat and then OEM cooler because if fluid has been cooled too much will be heated up to engine temp. There are optimum temps for trans and too cool can cause damage as well.
Could always plumb temp gauge into outlet line to monitor temp which is what I am going to do when 383 goes in.
