Default vortech questions

i want to switch to vortech heads and intake. im lookin at the scoggin-dickey high flow vortech TPI manifold. will i still be able to use the accel super-ram intake with this setup? another question i have is, will i still be able to use my hooker super comps with the new vortech heads?any idea how much my nearly stock l-98 will benefit from this change? thanks alot

The SR will directly bolt onto the Scoggin Dickey manifold. Also just as a note, Edelbrock also offers the same manifold now so it maybe cheaper via Summit Racing.

As for exhaust ports, any SBC header will bolt onto the heads. You should realize a decent performance gain with these heads. But, these heads have a 64cc chamber versus your stock L98 heads with a 58cc chamber. This means you will loose some effective compression by about .75 of a point of compression could negate the performance gains. If you are going to build a 383 then you can get a piston that would give you the correct compression.

Lose .75 compression points, use lower octane. I'd do it!! Especially during this season's gas prices!

Yeah, that through me off when I first read the title too!

I'm sure it's an honest mistake.
