Not for me, of course, since I'm running LT's - but I know someone who's thinking of shorties for his Vette, and I told him everything any times I've read about them, there were no gains involved, except looks - Is this true?
There are some increases in horsepower, but nothing like the long tubes. The other bennies are: reduced heat under the hood, improved sound (louder) and they just look better than the rusty stock manifolds. And they are easier to install than long tubes as they just bolt up. No need to hit the muffler shop to hook up to the catback. Oh, you don't have to buy new cats either.
