Clutch Slave ??
I have a 93 ZF6 with 45K miles. This summer I replaced the clutch, master and slave, trans oil in order to improve my shifting. Last week I felt some resistance in the pedal and heard some squeaking coming from the hydraulics. I pulled the slave and noticed the dust boot had pulled away from the slave housing. After further investigation I noticed the slave piston was hanging up in the bore as I pushed it down. I thought this was due to clutch dust getting in since the boot came off. I ordered a replacement Raybestos slave and noticed the brand new slave does the same thing. If I push the piston down it gets stuck. Does anyone know if this is right?? With it this tight off the car, I'd expect it will really hang up if it gets hot from the exhaust. I really appreciate any thoughts.
