Another window motor question
I have a 1991 and the window just suddenly stopped going up or down.
I checked power at the switch and its fine. Tore the door apart and disconnected the wires from the motor and when i press the switch up or down the voltage changes from 12.5 to - 12.5 which says thats ok so i ohmed the motor but it doesn't read open it still gives me a reading of about 69 ohms. the motor doesn't click and it doesn't get warm like its binding. So I guess i'll still replace it there's only one slight problem.
How do you re-attach the motor once you take the rivets out that's holding it to the rail?

When the window regulator on my '88 failed the scissor separated from the motor gear so I had to replace the entire regulator. It would have been very difficult to replace only the motor on that setup.
Is your motor riveted to a scissor or to the bottom of the window??
