the horn started to blow and not stop until it blew the fuse. I changed the horn relay, still it blow until fuse pops. I disconnected the horn wire from the steering wheel, and the horn still blows until fuse pops. I disconnected the horns and the fuse is okay. Where is my problem? Help
In my 85, I have two horns; One for high tone and one for low. I'm not sure if there are one or two wires coming from the steering wheel. If there is one wire, then that wire is split into two, for the two horns. I don't know if you have one or two horns, but whichever you have, the wire coming from the steering wheel to the horn(s) sounds like it somehow became grounded, causing it to continuously sound. Find the wire from the steering wheel to the horn and either replace it or unground the wire.

You must have some folds in your schematic, or a generic schematic to come up with that info. Horn wise, there is one wire coming (?) from the steering wheel. The wire at the steering wheel grounds the horn relay, when the horn button is pushed. That wire is a CKT# 28 which is a .35 black. It connects to the relay in a 3 pronged connector. A single 2.0 dk grn wire,CKT# 29 runs to the front of the car where there is a two wire connector linking CKT#29 to both horns. Meanwhile, back at the horn relay, there are two .35 blk, CKT# 28, wires connected to the aforementioned horn relay terminal. The one we have discussed going to the horn button and the other that leads to the theft deterrent module.
Based in the description of the problem and the money thrown at it, my conclusion is that one of the CKT# 28 is inadvertently grounded somewhere. It is time to start tracing wires. A DVOM could speed the job.
