If you were at Carlisle this year, you might have noticed that the dyno was moved over near the correl and it did not seem quite as busy as past years.
Sorry ramblin a bit, Corkvette1 and I were walking through the correl near the dyno and noticed a bad as@ed sounding c4 getting ready to dyno. So we stopped to check it out. Corkvette1 was over by the computer and heard a few of the guys there talking about the engine - a 434 in a red convertable, - Cork turned to the owner and asked him his name - when he said Dave - he put 2 and 2 together and introduced himself. Cork built the engine!!! Before Saturday, they talked on the phone but never met.
Jim, it was great meeting you guys Sat. Thanks for the beer too
I don't have the dyno sheets with me but the numbers were 465/437 at the rear wheels. The 100K Calloway made 477rwhp. As of 4pm, no one had beat the numbers. Did you run yours?

I was really tempted to run it Sunday, but with rain in the morning and worrying about the Calloway I was towing the time just ticked down and didn't have a chance.
When I checked the dyno on Sunday the highest hp was about 375 and I didn't want to have to wait around for the $75 for highest HP of the day
i ran about 2 cars after you dave. your car sound good we talked i ask what you have in it. mine was the teal 93 conv. bone stock lt1 with gregs (blower works ) complete system+ his chip.
404 hp rwhp @ 5500 and 403 rwtq @ 4800 greg did some job on mine.

Actually a blown C5 won the Corvette Enthusiast Dyno Competition - the blown C5 was rated 490+ horse to the rear wheels. He took home the prize after the celebrity pick awards finished... I'll post his name once I have our staff provide me the overall list.

I hope you all had a good time!

Lance,
I was talking about the daily HP contest for Sunday, not the whole weekend. I knew I had no chance of having the highest for the weekend, but I did have a good chance for Sunday if I actually paid for the dyno runs.
Thanks for the info - Jerkyboys NA 434 came real close to the top HP!!!!!
Now - let's see who hooks better and has the best ET
85vet,
I looked for you at Carlisle, I found your car and Cork but no you. I have an 89 black coupe and bent Cork's ear for a bit about the modifications I'd like to make some day. Cork and your car looked sweet, a real live sleeper on the line. I told Cork I would love to see a new C5 roll up to a red light next to you. Then after you spanked him he would be scratching his head wondering what was under that hood. Some day soon I may be giving Cork a call to get my sleeper together. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you, but I did see your car and the 1/4 mile times on your dash. At Carlisle it isn't always about the clean and pretty cars, sometimes it's about HP'S and you and Cork have some very repectable rides. jzvette
zelement..I was asking myself where all of the twin turbos, magnusson, procharged, etc.. cars were. I think a lot of people get nervous with a large crowd watching
As far as the DFI, I pretty much set it up using the VE tables from my old 383 tune. I am sure there is a lot left in the motor as I have not even touched timing. I am still learning about this stuff and plan on staying conservative until I understand it better. Next step is to get the WB so I can quit spending money at the dyno.
Barcardioil...your car is beautiful. I love those Fikse wheels!
tpi 421 vette, your numbers were what I was shooting for. I'll keep tuning....
wow, someone let a callaway get to 100k miles?! and it STILL made 477rwhp?! DAMN!
Ohh yeah, that 434 ain't too bad either
Just a note - the 100k meant - the Calloway cost $100,000 vs Jerkyboys car + 10,000. Therfore 20 hp cost $75000+. I know there is prestige with a Calloway, but looking strictly at HP and tuning, Jerkyboy may beat it next year.
If you were being sarcastic with your original post then ignore my rambling
