I would be checking the fuel pressure regulator.

If the diaphram has broken, there would be your problem.

Also, the wiring harnesses in pre-91 Vettes are suspect to problems. The SAE changed the composition of wire insulation. The older formulations were prone to heat related failure. The insulation would crack, chaff or otherwise break. This would and does lead to all sorts of nutty behaviour.

Where in LA are you??? I am in Torrance. If you want, you and run it over here and I can take a quick look at it.

Wow,

I wasnt expecting so many responces, thanks for the replies. Let me try to answer all questions. This problem happended from one day to the next. Prom, Maf, ECM, wiring harness and related comonents were checked with reman, used and new parts. The vette is at the vettes shop in Van Nuys but I live by dodger stadium. The mechanic is real cool he told me he doesnt want to give up on it but I think hes ready to. I'm going to try that place in BellFlower Ivory90 (thanks) mentioned.
