i submitte a thread about a week ago about my transmission leaking oil. at the time the shop had advised me that they could find no external leak, so i assumed it was blowing it out the vent. some of the members advised me about the tv valve, they too were assuming no other leaks. what the shop hadn't done was pull the converter cover to look for atf. meanwhile i had them rebuild the valve body. after they installed the valve body, as a precaution i asked them to install a new front seal (i haven't had the car long and didn't know the maintenance schedule or if the front seal had been replaced). when they pulled the cover , which they should have done in the first place, they found the fluid. the front seal was seated crooked. when i took the car in it would downshift with the slightest acceleration, now it's not doing this. my question is do all corvettes downshift with the slightest acceleration or was this an altered valve body and when they rebuilt it they maybe tood out some different parts and replaced them with the originals. this was reallyand asssist coming out of a curve or passing someone with just a little acceleration instead of full throttle. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Vettes do not normally downshift with the slightest bit of gas pedal pressure.
hello pete k, at what point does the part throttle downshift occur. was this an altered valve body . the car would downshift and then upshift again normally.
