Power enrichment question

Why does the computer dial in some timing retard when power enrichment comes in. There is no knock detected at this time.
Data comes from TTS Datamaster scan.

It could be programmed into the chip. Depending on what strategy the ECM has, there is a table called Power Enrichment spark advance which adds timing to the main spark tables during PE. There are other strategies where timing can retarded as well. In the ZR1 strategies, datmaster will report timing numbers that are 6 degrees less than what is actually commanded. I have found this descrepency in both Datamaster and also using a GM TECH2 scan tool which is the GM recommended dealership scan tool.

WOW...I really appreciate that input about the timing being reported by Datamaster being 6 deg low. I was about to bump it up that exact amount.
