Do you want more power or better handling? I always liked better handling so if it is not a Z51 car then on goes the Z51 Bilsteins and 30mm/26mm stabilizer bars. Next is a Corvette sounding exhaust.

There are no free ponies.Nothing mentioned so far will make it quicker other than the LT Headers.the most rcommended mods are:
LT Headers and cat back exhaust.
Cam and 1.6 rr's
Custom tune
K&N Cut lid for the track

Now for more money custom ported heads. You still have not mentioned your goals or budget that has a lot to do with the choices.

Guess i'd ask, what needs to be repaired first to get her to a good foundation baseline, then i'd think about mods.

assuming you've already completed a full tune up... I agree with the others- Exhaust: LT headers with a dual exhaust setup behind it.

Lets see we just bought it and changed the spark plug wires and spark plugs, flushed all the fluids lubed the rear axle or whatever its call i forgot what my dad said it was. filter replaced bulbs replaced. I looked under the car and it all ready looks to have exhaust. There are no mufflers on it right now just a Cat where the two pipes come together and then out to two stright pipes. Its running a little rich right now but i was told that the way to get that to stop is to send out the chip and get it tuned but were going to wait untill we get any mod on where we would have to get the chip redone.

money wise I would guess 2000 and the goal I guess 250 or 260 to the wheels although I really want 300 to the wheels.
