Radiator cap question?
Last weekend I did the much talked about radiator removal and cleaning(it sure was filthy), I replaced the hoses, and added a bottle of Red Line Water Wetter with the new coolant, when it came time to put the new radiator cap back on I noticed the old cap said 15lbs. and the new cap says 16 lbs. I looked in the GM service manual, they recommend 15lbs. same as the Haynes repair manual. My question is could there be any harm done by running an extra lb. cap? Will my beloved car just blow up when she gets warm? BTW this is a Stant part #11331 Lev-R-Vent cap, the part guidebook in the store says this is the right one for my stock '92 LT1, I triple checked it, then checked it again. Thanks

No, that's enough enough difference to be cause for alarm. Additional pressure just raises the boiling point that much more. Besides, two identical caps could easily check a pound apart. Now go find something better to worry about!
