I think I broke my coolant sensor..............
Can anyone identify this and make sure thats what it is before I order it? """"" Well since I cant figure out how to upload photos to this darn thing;;; if you know what this sensor is Ill email you the pic to verify, it is on the passenger side manifold area, and it broke when I was taking the manifold out. I have pics that I can email I just cant get this darn thing to let me upload them....................""""""

I got no pic from your post. Here is a pic of the one I got for my 87 from GM Parts Direct. Cost around 8 bux and they sent it in a box large enough to ship a bowling ball! Shipping cost as much as the part!

i did the same thing.. well my dad dropped it and broke it.... when you pull it out coolant goes everywhere so be careful!

its the coolant temp sensor i believe... either way just go to your local dealership parts place and they can pull up diagram and ger it for you.. you will need to drain coolant out of block, or be fast and have lots of towels.
not to expensive maybe $15 if i recall correctly.

Thanks Sean, yeah when I pulled it coolant went everywhere. OOOPS.. Figure it was a sign I need to flush the system....

I broke mine on the header install. If you are quick you can get the old one out put a finger on the hole and pop the new one in with a minimum of fuss. I bet that I did not lose more than a few ounces of coolant. (One shop rag picked it all up)
