94 vette will not run

Continuing saga. When the ECM is replaced, is it necessary for the local chevy dealer to "FLASH" the ECM with Data after its installed or can you install the ECM and go.

If its a dealer or for that matter any time a GM PCM that is a reman unit is installed it needs to be programmed to your car. Most cars will need the PCM programmed using its VIN number. In some cases a 94 or 95 Vette can swap PCMs as long as its a same transmission option and it will work. Actually a A4 PCM will run a M6 car, it will just set DTC codes because the PCM is looking for sensor inputs from the A4 transmission. There maybe gear ratio differences but for the most part it will run. However a new PCM will need programming because it will not have anything in its memory.

Where are you located and is it an auto or 6 speed? If you are close i can flash my OEM bin for the 6 speed and disable the VATS and you should be good to go. Just drop me a PM I
