Has anybody found a good way to connect an iPod to the radio on a 1990 Corvette with the bose system
Yes I did it on my wifes car and my car. I use a FM modulator made by Belkin that plugs straight into the I pod and you just tune your car to the proper station takes about 5 min.
I tried one of those Belkins and found it had too much interference and the sound quality wasn't very good.Of course, maybe I happened to get a bad one. At any rate, this is what I ended up with: http://salestores1.com/aufmfmmoanda.html
I liked it so well in the 'Vette I bought another one for the Suburban.
I have a wireless MP3 player and it is getting hard to find a dead station to tune it too.Another option is a cassette adapter it has a wire to plug into the headphone plug.
I have a Bose in my 96, but without the CD option. I bought the cassette adapter, and IMO, it sounds killer. Well...it sounds as killer as the Bose can, but it's everything I expected it to sound and more... I've never heard a single good thing about the FM modulators, and with the cassette adapters being so cheap, it couldn't hurt to try.
I *highly* recommend you at least give it a shot before spending money on more expensive options.
