I just had an Morosso 3qt accusump installed on my car. They did a pretty good job except for one thing: they connected the high pressure side to my oil temp sensor and now the oil temp sensor doesnt work. The mechanic said they had to extend the wires for the oil temp sensor to compensate.
Anyone see anything wrong with this setup or do you think it was the sensors time to go? I am not an expert on the path oil takes from discharge of pump, through the engine, and back to the oil pan. These guys have installed these before on C5's but they seemed somewhat rusty on the L98. I want to make sure the accusump is going to do its job and not impeed too much on anything else.
The shop said I could bring it back and they would look at it (though it wasnt made clear whether there would be an extra charge or not). Its not exactly convenient to bring it back. I figured it may be better just to sit on it, use the coolant temp sensor as a judge of oil temp, and replace the sensor at the next oil change. Comments, concerns? Thanks.
