Default Windshield pits

I have a few small but noticeable (to me) windshield pits about the size of a grain of sand. Any way to get this pits out or cover them up without replacing the windshield?

I've been told that imperfections can be polished out.

The rule of thumb is that if the mark is small enough
NOT to catch when a fingernail dragged over, then
polishing will likely be successful at removing the mark.

During the conversation, I asked whether the quickie
crack repair process could be used to fill small marks.
The answer I received was maybe, but that even if
this kind of repair appeared to have been successful,
it was likely to be short-lived. IIRC, the filler material
is prone to debonding from small imperfections.

I meant to go ahead and try the crack repair method
on a small mark on a 525, but before I got into the
shop, the mark turned into a full-blown, fast spreading
crack. So, I had the glass replaced.
