electrical problem please help
i have an 87 with a manual and just 20 minutes ago i was driving and the battery light thing came on and a little while after that the radio randonly shut off right after that the digital dash went all wierd and didnt function then when i went to hit the gas it just sputered and died i was thinking it is the alternature anyone one else have any ideas and before you say it is the battery dont because a few days ago the car wouldnt start and i thought it was the battery so i charged it up and the car started right up and now 3 days later this happened. anyone have any ideas
on another note the Anti Lock light has been coming on lately but wont stay on just come on then goes off a few mintues later

Sounds like you have been running off the battery, now theres not enough power left to run electrical system correctly.

The battery symbol light indicates that the alternator is not charging the battery. Most likely your alternator no longer works and you ran your battery so low the engine won't run. Recharge the battery and install a new alternator after you take yours to a parts store and let them test it.
