Default 1985 TPS Info here

After having some problems with the TPS in my vette, I wrote and posted an article that others might find useful:

1985 TPS Info

The TPS is critical in the operation of your car. Hopefully this info will help you diagnose a bad TPS.

Thanks! I always appreciate it when someone takes the time to investigate an issue thoroughly and then share the information

Thanks guys, it's a small bit of info but it's also something that seemed like it should be available but wasn't.

Default tps fix

I had a similar prob, idle speed suddenly went high (between 600 and 2000 rpm), I had recently set the tps to read .538 volts, so this was the first thing i looked at, sure enough the meter was now showing all kinds of reading from .2 to well over 1 volt, but when i pressed on the tps connections , it would hold on .538, I figured that the tps was shot, because the wires themselves seemed fine, anyway, not having a way to get hold of a tps right there and then, i started messing, and lo and behold, i finally figured that the cause of the prob was actually the rubber grommet thing (or seal or whatever its purpose is) that goes in between the connections, all i did was remove it, turn it back to front and replace, and the vette has run fine ever since, seems the rubber thing also acts kind of like a spring and pushes the connector tight together against the clips. This is my first post, I only joined yesterday, hope the info may be some use to someone
Dave
