For a built motor it is a good price. You could build the same for around the same price but you would have to do the assy. This would be a good choice if you where just looking for a daily driver 383 and not big HP. The only down side to his build seems to be the top end. A mild set of ported LT1 heads will work with the cam he has selected but again most who build a 383 LTx platfrom are looking for a little more power then this set up. I personaly don't like to use builders other then my self just to many variables and realy don't like the idea of a mail order motor but that is just me.
Yeah I thought about the porting. If I went this route I would probably take the car to him.Call me lazy or too busy to DIY.I just thought this was a good price for the work and parts and wanted to get some feedback from you guys.
Which cam is the best 1,2 or 3.I don't hear Isky mentioned on the forum but I recognize the name from many years ago so I know they have been around a long time.Good cams?

I've tried quite a few Isky cams and have always been pleased at the power they made. They are a smaller co. and probably don't have a huge ad budget like Comp, Crane, etc. I'd be open to trying one for F.I.
THose guys over there arte hardcore racers and know their stuff. Crower is very good also, they just don't seem to have a whole lot of EFI stuff.
