'87 Neutral Safety Switch - Help...

Default '87 Neutral Safety Switch - Help...
1987 Vette (was 4+3, now ZF 6) -

I'd like to temporarily bypass the neutral safety switch that is connected to the small arm coming off the upper part of the clutch pedal.

Can I do this by simply making a connection between the two wires that are running to this switch?
