Default Zex Nitrous

Was looking around at different nitrous systems for ease of use/installation as well as price and safety. Can anyone here comment on this system? (see link below)

http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/z..._nitrous_kits/

I gotta run to work now but cant wait to get home and read what you all have to say about it. Thanks!

Never seen a Zex system but ive heard alot of people say it's poorly made. I have seen a NOS kit and Nitrous Works kit though and the owners love them. For that price you can get a EFI plate system.

I just installed the zex wet system on my LT4 & love it , I also did alot of research & even the local speed shop said zexs all the way.It is not poorly made & is fairly simple to install about 4 hours to install & it is definately the safest sytem out there.Just remember to change your plugs , gap 38 plug NGK TR6

make sure you get the 75-125 wet shot youll def want that. too bad they dont offer a 75-175. that was one of the reasons i went with nitrous works. I love the kit and absolutely love the nitrous! its so addictin!

and also its really vague about what acutal components come. if you get all the safety stuff(which i highly recomend.) youll want a purge kit, hobbs switch, fuel cut off, gauge for the bottle, bottle heater.

thats all about another $500-$700. in my mind its a must. i got it all just to be 100% safe!

im guessing u got an lt1 as the kit in the link is for lt1 or ls1

when i hear ZEX, i think of Ricers and tuners. TPIS offers a zex system so that kinda changed my veiw of it.

I have the ZEX kit on my 88 L98 and am very pleased with it.
The reason I went with it was simply due to the built in safety system.... Fuel shut-off and Nitrous shut-off built into the box.
No messy selonoids to install..... one in, one out.... that's it.

On a 75HP shot, gears, exhaust, minor mods, the car has run
12.50 @ 104.......

The Barry Grant would be the best kit for your car .I hope you know you can't take it to the track with the nitrous.
YOu can't go faster than 13.49 and with some good race gas and a set of tires you are already their.
The tires you have on the car now will have to go ,nitrous will blow those tires right off.

Is this true of all 1/4 mile tracks?? I have one down here in Bradenton and I and people I know have had their cars on there often while spraying. No one asked of course so I didn't share....

He is saying that you will run too fast with the nitrous (unless you have all the safety equipment). Nitrous is not illegal or anything.

the thing oyu have to have for the track is the blow down tube!
so if the take gets over a certian psi and the disk breaks then it vents it outside of the car....
this is an NHRA regulation....

You have a rag top ,that means if you go faster then 13.49 in the 1/4 you will need a roll bar..................

With a good set of tires you already will run close to that number if not under.
My rag top went 13.70 first time down the track.
With 1.6 RR and beehive comp cam springs with a power programmer ,Nitto drag radials 315+45+17 rear it runs 13.30
a 100 shot of nitrous will put you down the track at 12.55 if you alighn the rear end right.
