Default Blower Switch/Differential Fluid

About a month ago I purchased a well documented, excellent inside and out 86 convertable. Problem - The blower switch would not work so I removed it,cleaned it and it worked on low and medium but not high. Thinking it was the switch I replaced it and the new one does the same...Any suggestions? Could it be the blower itself?

Also though it probably did not need it I had the radiator flushed, oll/filter changed and brake fluid replaced. I contacted a dealer to see about a transmission fluid change to include the screen and the differential fluid changed. I was told they could flush the transmission but it was a major job to replace the screen and they did not think it needed it. They also told me the differential fluid replacement was not necessary as it was a sealed until and would be major $$ to do so. It just seems to me that if had not been changed and 20 years old it should which may prevent major repairs in the future. Any opinions on changing these fluids?? There are 34,000 miles on it.

Thanks...

On top of the heater box, under the hood you will see some wires. These are plugged into the top of the box. Disconnect the wires and remove the screws that are holding the small plate on the heater box. Lift this piece out of the box and you will see 3 different coils, make sure all 3 are solid with no breaks of any kind. If there is any breaks replace this piece. As far as the trans fluid, get some old clothes on, get under the car with a drain pan and drop the trans pan down. Leave a couple bolts about half way in on one side to let the pan hang down without support. It's a bit tidier this way. After you get all the fluid out that you can then take out the remaining bolts and lower the pan. Let the trans drain while you clean off the old gasket from the trans case and the pan. Completely clean the pan, inside and out. Next you will pull down gently on the filter, when it comes down make sure the rubber o-ring comes with it. If the o-ring stays in the trans just use a pick or small screwdriver to get it out. Put the new o-ring on the new filter and slide it back up into the trans. I forgot to mention that once you get the trans pan clean, lay it on top of the new gasket so it will be flat when you are ready to re-install the pan. DO NOT use any gasket goop on this gasket, if you need to hold it in place use a light grease. Put the gasket on the pan and put the pan back up on the trans. Put 2-3 quarts of ATF in the trans, start the car and add fluid until you're about a quart low. Let the trans heat up then because the oil level will rise with the heat. Once it's up to temp add what may be needed and you're good to go.
On the rear end the only suggestion I have is to use a suction gun to get the old fluid out, then re-fill to the fill plug level.

There is a tech tip in the tips section for the rear fluid. I changed that in mine, total cost was maybe ten bucks. It's very easy!
