Default this is crazy

ok,, this is my first corvette, i went to reset the change oil light on my 92 six speed, the light went out but now it wont start - doesn't even turn over like if there waas a starter interupt alarm on it,,, could i have pressed the wrong series of buttons causing the security to lock up? please help

If it powers up like normal but nothing happens when you turn it to start it may have been a false read by the theft deterrent system. You should have been able to remove the key wait five minutes and try again. Resetting your oil monitor should be Eng/Met twice within 5 secs then hold Gauges let it flash until it stops.

Worst case scenario's: verify your battery neg connection is tight and clean, possible ignition switch or starter. Some of these you can isolate.

great it worked fine- some where else on here it tells you to do met twice then gauges til it blinks then gauges again- guess somehow it locked up the security- runs fine now ,, thanks
