Default Headers for LT4

Is it worth putting new headers on my LT4...if so what would be a good brand and how much HP could I gain?

This has been discussed many times before. Probably the "best" headers out there are the Exotic Muscle ones, but there are others as well, Stainless Works, TPIS, etc.

As for gains it depends on your other mods. On a stock LT4 I would say 10-15 RWHP w/ high flow cats. Look up member Perfusion to see some dyno numbers on these headers. I believe he picked up over 20 RWHP for these headers and a Corsa cat-back exhaust.

What's also impressive is the increase in torque, about 15-20 ft lbs. max, but headers will raise the torque curve across the board nicely.

Exotic Muscle long tubes fit well and as previously stated add some grunt to you power band. The best thing abou LT headers is the HP and TQ boost they provide will increase as you add mods to your engine.
For example lots of Cam and Head packages recommend long tubes.

Give Perfusion a PM, he's getting 320+ RWHP and RWTQ from a pretty stock LT4 with Exotic Muscle longtubes. Great bang for the buck!
