Default hesitation/sputtering when cold

does anyone know what could cause the hesitation/sputtering I am getting with my 93 only when it is cold? After coolant and engine oil reach 160, it drives fine. I think this could be the same problem with the hard startups after it has been driven for a bit... What are some things I should look for?

Have you checked all the sensors are working ok, like temp sensors etc?

There are alot of things that tell the computer how much fuel to dump in your car. My 85 has the exact same problem. Start by testing it with a fuel pressure gauge and a vaccum gauge, just to see whats going on. For some reason on my car, ill unscrew the gas cap and there seems to be a pressure difference. After i let it equalize, my car acts like its driving when its 170 degrees. Really weird.

If you are getting a lot of codes, check for vacuum leaks. These can be really hard to find so check carefully. I don't think this applies to your car, but I had the same condition on my 85 coupe and while fussing around, I noticed the exhaust note changed when I pushed in on the radio. Well I took the radio out and found that a mouse had gotten back there and eaten into almost all of the tiny vacuum lines that feed the climate control system. Just enough to really muck things up. This also may contribute to early failure of other items such as an O2 sensor which has had the wrong mixture run by it due to the leak. So if you find a leak, reset and check codes again.
