Guys volunteer to moderate this forum, which seems like a pretty crappy job to put up with. I think there'll always be someone willing.

I love you guys and all, but I'd loan my wife before I'd load my tools. 1) I'd never get my tools back. 2) No one could put up with my wife's BS like I do

Were not talking about wrenches here guys... Were talking about speicalty tools. Tools that are hard to find or way too expensive for one time use. This would also help the owner by getting back a small rental fee..

Hi dock351: I'm a career airplane mechanic (that said to put you at ease concerning what kind of tool-damage risk I'd be) and I would love to take you up on your offer of exchanged help. I'm in the Memphis area (FedEx, ya know.) and get quite liberal time off. Might be a lot of fun to zoom up there and give you a hand. Contact me @ aviatorblc@sbcglobal.net. BTW, this forum is fantastic. THANKS TO ALL who contribute from a relatively new member and very new Vette owner - '90 triple black, 6sp, FX3.

Default OKAY... even if the tool pool doesn't fly...

I'd really like to see a tool/garage discussion section on CF so that we can at least talk about what to have and where to buy/rent. Plus, I assume that some of the others on this forum like to talk about tools, and how to use them.

I'm thinking along the lines of the "tools of the trade" section at www.ls1tech.com.

It would be cool if we could have our version of that...

Well let's ask our esteemed moderator if we can get a sticky with threads just on tool exchange. start with that. Post what you have, what you need. leave it pretty much up the the individuals to work out the details.
