Default lt4 maf sensor worth changing

Just wondering if anyone had a dyno result of hp gains from changing to a granatelli mass air flow sensor. I think the stocker flows a hell-a lot of air and dont want to waste cash if not needed.
I have put a few on LS1 cars and they are worth about 10rwp if you have exhasut/headers.

At the local corvette show there was a LT4 C. Edition that had been turned into a 383 stroker & this car had been done right it had a price tag of 42,000 on it & someone bought it!!!! And it still had the factory m.a.f sensor on it , he said the factory ones flow great on the late model C4'S.Not the first time I've heard this....

Don't bother wasting your money on an aftermarket MAF sensor. They are not worth the money they get for them. Also in some cases they will cause you problems because the aftermaket MAF sensors may or may not be properly calibrated to match the factory MAF sensor's calibration tables that are programmed into the PCM. If the MAF does not match the calibration tables, then you may end up with a lean or a rich condition. Then the PCM uses the O2 sensors to correct the fuel trims based on what the O2 sensors see. In the worse case scenarios, the PCM or ECM may not be able to correct because they can reach a limit in their control strategy.
