I went with the Bilstein Extreme shocks from Vette brake Products. They are a little stiff for the street, but great on the track. Just depends on what you are looking for. I pretty much only care how it handles on the track.

Coincidence! I had a '92 'vert, later sold it, and I had brand new Bilsteins I couldn't use anymore, so a fellow CF member stationed in Germany bought 'em! (Forgot his s/n)

I loved the yelllow tube Koni Sports. Also had the "Corvette Challenge" valving on a set of Bilsteins - the rears were way too stiff for street use.

I take it you will be doing some "high speed" driving. I would not hesitate to go with the Koni Sport shocks. They are adjustable and a better shock than the Bilstein's.

The Koni Sports are a fine shock. You'd have to spend several times more for a shock (Penske? double-adjustable QA-1?) that would be superior.

I don't have that prob. with my KYB's at all, some of the best shocks fore the $$$ i've ever had... But i wouldnt suggest them for 130+mph.....

Just depends on what you are looking for, if its a daily drive that you sometimes take to the track, you might want the adj. QA1s.
My friend has some adj. and they are great on the track too.

Basically this seems like how the breakdown is:
For aftermarket shocks you can:
-Get your bilsteins revalved at z51 specs
-Get QA1s, a lot of people like these, but thay are more focused as a drag shock yet on still seem to do pretty well on c4's. Note, 12 settings and adjustable.
-Get Koni Adjustable, definitly the best so far for autocrossing and road racing. 3 settings to choose from, but you can't switch the rear around on car. Set it to two and leave it.
Then things can get really crazy and custom and expensive but that seems to be the info. I don't know where Bilsteins' auto-x valving and Vette Brakes Valvings fall into here.

Even using each 1/4 turn as one setting, the fronts have eleven settings and the rears have ten.
I've set mine on the softest setting in the rear and 1/2 turn from full soft on the front....niiiiice; ride isn't bad and the control is all I was after.
