Went to start my 89 coupe after recharging the battery and nothing.
The car starts for 30 seconds if i keep my foot on the gas pedal
but then it dies. I try to crank it and it turns over but does not start
I hear the fuel pump when I turn on the ignition (2 sec) but it will not turn over. Anybody have any ideas I would appreciate them.
Pull a plug wire and hook an extra plug to it. Hold it against the block/head while someone cranks it over. With a fully charged battery you should get a bright white/blue spark. If you don't, suspect the ignition module or coils.
im still having the same problem too, wont start and the fuel pressure is good. I used an ohmmeter to check my coil,
maybe some one can answer this for me. when chekcing electrical resistance, the digital ohmmeter reads 1 ohm when its just turned on. what does it mean if it does not change when you try to check the resistance of a electrical component? such as the coil? maybe biggie has the same damn problem i have.

What make and model ohmeter do you own? Most digital ohmeters indicate OL (overload, or over measuring range). If the ohmeter indication doesn't change when you test a component, then that component has resistance higher than your ohmeter can measure and most likely is open circuit.
Yeah i think thats exactly what it is. i think its an I for infinite not a one that im reading. I looks exaclty like a one but that would be the only thing that makes sense,.
