I've got the Air Bag Steering Wheel and when its in one of the middle positions, it will sometimes unlock itself and drop to the lowest position. This happens it I inadvertantly maybe pull on it when I'm trying to do something like a zero to sixty dash. Is there any adjustment that can be done to fix this?

My 87 will do this too if I pull downwards too hard on the wheel. I think it's a wear issue and not something you can adjust.

The problem is is that people use the steering wheel to hoist themselves out of the cars and that screws up the ratching mechanism inside.
