went racing this weekend with my car and track prep sucked bad , it was so bad i didnt get one full pass out of the car with best 60ft of 2.0 . the car 60fts in the mid 1.4 almost every pass . in my last pass it felt like somthing went out . drove the car down the 1/4 mile normal speed and it felt fine . the only bad part was it felt like the slick had no air and the car danced the whole way down the track . i jacked the car up looked around for any broken parts , everything checked ok . i lowerd the car back down and had few of my friends push down on it and watched the rearend move up and down and everything checked fine .
i took the car home drove it home put some air in the slicks and took the car for a ride around town the car felt like it was all over the road . it felt like driving on a slick with no air .
do you guys think the rear wheel bearing would do that ? i know they are old and i never changed them and another thing i took the car for an aligment few weeks ago and the guy said he cant adjust the camber to the stock specs for some reason whats up with that?? this must be the worst year ever for me lots of problems that dont end :o
Just jack up the rear and see if the tire moves when checking and pulling the back and forth from 12 to 6 and 9 to 3.
If it moves at all replace the hubs with the chevy hubs.
I would get a new alignment man if he can't explain why he can't set the rear end .
I had the exact same experience and it turned out to be that the tie rod (forget the real name for them) from the hub to where it connected to the rear diff in the center, a bolt had worked it's way out and that mount was loose. Made the car feel like it was driving on ice.. tightened them up and presto!! Good luck
Being that your running a spool like me and have it setup the same way. You need to check those bolts that hold the inner spindles in! One may have broken or worked it way out and is letting the inner stub axle work its way in and out. That is the way my car felt when I did not pin them at first.

yup that what it was , i cant keep the spindles from walking out . the rear end was off the car 3times this year to fix that same problem. i need to send it out to you Jesse to have you pin them for me . i tried the cradle but its not working you need to try one of your pining combination i think I'm done for the year this was the worst year ever not one clean pass from the car .

Yeah I was hoping that was not it. I would not drive the car much with it like that cause the bolt may be loose in there and you don't want it getting caught up in the ring and pinion.
If you want to send me the unit I would be more than happy to try to help you out if you want. Not sure exactly how you have yours done, but mine seems to be staying put pretty well. -knock on wood-
