what's up guys? i was wondering if anybody in here has wired their own killswitch and hidden it in their vette? i am interested in doing this and am wondering how i would go about instaling one myself. thanks for any help cooters!
Go to the MSD web site, in their MSD 6AL directions, they explain how to do this and which wires to use. Basically, they use a toggle switch to interrupt the coil feed.
I have a chip that actually has a wire coming from it.. Ground the wire and you can go into a second program.. valet, nitrous, anti theft, etc.
There are some pretty neat things i've seen with magnetic switches. You have a little magnet on your key chain and put it in a particular place to be able to start.
Single switch can handle it...just need to make sure it is rated for the amps going through the contacts.
Mount it in any out-of-the-way location...inside the center console & lock it when you get out is one...inside the passenger storage compartment is another good place...can lock it as well.
