Wiring Third Brake Light!!!! H3Lp
I need to know how to wire the third brake light on a 1985 Corvette. We just put a new bumper on the rear and need a wiring solution. Anyone attempt this before? The only problem is I cant experiment becuase the light cant blink with the turn signal.

It sounds like it's the one below the fuel door, like a vert or later coupe. Just some q's to get you started.

yeah its the one below the Gas Door. Its a 1985 Coupe, we just painted and decided that old round lighted bumper must go. So we bought the later style bumper. But since the old ones didnt have the wiring we have to piggy back it. Question is which of the wires is for the brake lights and which one is for the turn signals

I just wired up a 3rd light on my 85 also. I tapped into the brake light wire in the wire harness on rightside of car. I could be wrong, but I believe the wire is a large YELLOW wire, but use a meter and check it while applying brake to see. HEY, when I hooked mine up, I also wired up a strobe light kit to that also--so when I hit brake, the 3rd light blinks 5 times fast then stays red for more noticeable attention to drivers behind.
