I'm looking for the baer claw eradispeed system with 13'' from 2 piece rotors, calipers, braided hoses, rear 12'' one pice rotors...midamerica sells the kit for $1200, but they are out of stock..anyone know where I can pick up these parts fast at a reasonable price?
...actually, no...thought this was a better system...I'm trying to get in touch with Ed Salinas and ask him for his advice...gonna try a wilwood setup or ZO6 calipers...I need to be educated as to which products would be best for me...not looking to go absolutely crazy...but, I do want something nice
Got my Baer Eradispeeds from TBYRNE. There are the two piece front and rear and I used the stock calipers. Plenty of stopping power and much cheaper than Mid America.
I'd like to see a true comparison test over stock C4 calipers vs stock C5 calipers and any aftermarket caliper.
I'm sick of all the "Oh it stops better, I can feel it" that don't cut it for me.
if you want to know about Wilwood, dont ask Ed, ask CentralCoaster.
Try running searches in the C4 tech archives for Brembo, Baer, Wilwood, etc. You'll find more than you can read and more than most of us will ever remember.

Same here. Except most people are happy with their upgrade enough to not dump another grand or 2 or 3, so all anyone can compare to is a decade and a half old GM/PBR design that's in need of TLC, and they can't measure the improvement with a yardstick.
Cakes, you should sit back and think about what you're actually going to do with the car. Scratching your head between Z06 brakes and Wilwood superlites is like trying to decide whether to rent a room at the Hilton vs. the Taj Majal. You should also look at the C6 Z06 setup, those parts will be available soon.

I'm curious to see the pad design on these and how they're held in place. You'll get a better grip on the caliper, distributes the heat better across the pads, but seemingly at the cost of having way more pad taper. And the pads cost more than the calipers, which is just ludicrous.
