Rear Hub Torque
OK I'm worried. I just installed near rear hubs, following the shop manual, and it calls out a torque of 164 lb/ft for the spindle nut. I've read other posts where people are recommending a torque of 180-200 lb/ft. What should I use

I don't own a torque wrench, so I take a pipe and place it over the socket wrench and stand on the pipe until it stops moving.
I weigh 180 lbs. so I guess you can say my spindle nuts are torqued at 180 lb/ft. Been driving the car with 2 new hubs for over 2 years now. I wouldn't worry about it to much.
