Default exhaust design help...cats

The car is currently setup for 2149 hooker headers, hooker Y-pipe, straight pipe, modified stock Y-pipe, hooker aerochamber mufllers

Looking for personal results for adding cats back into the mix.

1) What do after market cats actually flow
2) Is there room to put two cats with the hooker headers?I
3) what woud be the hp penalty for installing just a single cat where the old 3-way cat used to be?

Go here for a comparison on 2.5" cats. I haven't found any info on 3" ones, but comparing the mfg vs. price vs. flow probably carries over for the most part.

Also remember that for tubes...

2.1+2.1 = 3
2.5+2.5 = 3.5
3 + 3 = 4.25

A single 3" will flow about the same as a dual 2.25.

Here is what you can do, depending on how much you want to spend. You could replace the complete exhaust system with a late model LTx style system. It is very easy to do, all you need is a set of front and rear exhaust hangers for a 92 and up LTx car. These are readily available from any dealer. Then you can make it a full 3" system if you choose to replace it with a B&B system or a full 2.5" system like a Corsa. The CATs you can use would be a set of Dynatech Headers metal matrix cored bullet cats, which can be installed just behind the transmission if you have a M6 car or up in the forward area with an A4 car.

Here is what my setup looks like:

That looks nice ! However I notice you don't have the black underside protector on the car. Did you remove all of this ? My whole floor pan on the underside of the car has what seems to be a black rough like surface that seems to be somewhat of an underside carriage protector I guess from rust or the likes.
