Default Chevy hei distributor question

can any chevy hei distributor work with any corvette? I know there is some kind of differnce when you have different modules (4pin, 5 pin and 7pin) but i wasnt sure if anyone one of these could go in my 86 corvette.

I was going to buy a new distributor but i wasnt sure how specific i had to be when buying one. THanks

If no one gives you an answer I can look at one out of the race car to check for you. I think it is a 7 pin though. PM me if you need me to look it up for you, but surely someone knows.

Your cars distributor is computer controlled by the ECM.....you must use the seven pin module, non vacuum advance equipped type.
