I really hope someone on here can help me because I have hit a dead end. I have a 1991, L98, automatic. I have pulled the top end down to the cylinder heads and as I'm reassembling it I have hit a snag on a hose. This hose runs from the nipple in the water pump, (just above the lower radiator hose outlet), to the surge tank mounted near the passenger side of the firewall. I finally found a GM parts guy that was able to help me only to find the hose is discontinued. The GM part # is 10135656, HOSE, OTLT (EXC KC4), is the way it reads in the printout, and illustration the parts person gave me. The end to the surge tank is 1" and it goes down to 3/4" at the water pump nipple. This hose is about 3' long, and has approximately five pre-molded bends in it.
Next question, this isn't as important, but any help would be appreciated, the emblem that is mounted on the drivers side valve cover needs to be replaced. I have found that the one up to 1990 is available from Ecklers, but in 1991 it changed. Once again, no longer available from GM. In 1991 the emblem is black, and grey, with the red bowtie. As I said, any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm trying to keep the car all original!!!
Are you looking for this hose to replace a damaged hose, or do you want to know where it connects?
I'm looking for a new hose that is pre-molded like the one I currently have, and yes it goes through the AC bracket. I replaced the water pump along with intake manifold gaskets, injectors, EGR, coil, etc., which is why I removed it in the first place. As I stated, the part has been discontinued by GM, and Advanced Auto along with PEP Boys couldn't even find a listing. I have tried Ecklers, and MID America with no luck.

OK mine is a 90 and should be close, I just looked at mine (it is apart ) and from the top tank I have about 2' of hose going to a "tee" a 6' piece goes to the water pump and off the bottom of the "tee" it goes to the oil cooler. It appears that on mine because those are short pieces (and a/c braket holds it), I could probably do w/out molded on the top one (out of the tee),from the tank I could use black zips to keep it in position. If that doesn't seem to work for you, have you tried napa (here they actually have some parts), has goodyear and gates (if I remember) labeled as napa replacements. Post back I would also be interested.
About a year ago, I called several GM dealers including Jeff at Superior Chevrolet and he also, found this particular hose to be discontinued.
What I did on my "91" was to leave the large 1" connection connected to the surge tank and then where the hose reduces down to 3/4" I cut and used a 3/4" plastic coupler with two hose clamps and connected a new heater hose from the joint to the water pump.
I routed the new hose neatly to the waterpump and through the AC bracket.
Thank you for the responses! I had a hose made that looks identical to what I had. I mentioned it to one of the technicians where I work, he took a three foot section of 3/4" hose and using a heat gun molded it exactly including flaring the end to 1". I couldn't believe it when he handed to to me. The only thing missing was the GM logo and the 3-25-01 date code. He laughingly stated that if I wanted that he could probably figure out a way to do that also.
The other question I had about the emblem on the valve cover was solved today. I went to a graphic art place and they were able to reproduce the exact logo which I will affix to a piece of aluminum stock that is the exact shape, and thickness as the original, which will do until someone reproduces this emblem for this year, (1991).
