I got my 383 back from the shop few weeks back and it runs great/very fast!! But I just started noticing that when I'm turning there is a weird grinding/vibrating feeling/noise. I haven't checked the power fluid yet, but any suggestions. I know nothing about this area, nor how it works. My car is an 85
Id take a look at the rack if it hasnt been replaced. They ALL go out from 84 to somewhere around 88?Does the steering get heavy at times or when its cold?

I solved all my power steering problems by installing a filter in the power steering fluid return line to the pump on 3 of my 4 vehicles -- I still haven't done it to my restored '64 coupe, it doesn't get many miles on it.
My Lincoln, which I put high mileage on and lost power steering components frequently, hasn't lost one part since I started using a filter. I change it once a year.
I am using an in-line transmission fluid filter that is normally used on a Honda on all three cars.
you guys are right, was Very low fluid and that fixed the problem. I just couldn't figure out why the fluid went low like that real quick, maybe the shop drained some out during the engine building or install. thanks for the advise
