another power antenna question

another power antenna question

I had an aftermarket cd unit installed today and they guy called and said that everything works great except that when he tried it after a few minutes the antenna went down. So he turned everything off and back on and it came up and worked again for a few minutes and went back down. Any ideas?? Does the car need to actually be running ? I'm confused.......

No the car doesn't have to be running. Sounds like something in the install or in the radio head is sending a false signal to the antenna relay.

hmmm, he said they have put back the old unit and it was fine.... and other new ones made it do the same thing, up and down. What's the fix for this?
